It's not about salary or benefits! What are the most common reasons for Japanese people to change jobs?

It's not about salary or benefits! What are the most common reasons for Japanese people to change jobs?

For Japanese, "disagreement in values with the organization" is the most significant reason for changing jobs.

Randstad's "Employer Brand Research - Country Report 2020" shows that the results of responses from approximately 3,500 people across Japan indicate that the mobility of human resources in Japan in 2020 is trending slightly downward.

The 2020 survey found that disagreement with the values of the organization is the most significant reason for changing jobs. Ninety-six percent of workers said that congruence between corporate culture and personal values is an important factor in workplace satisfaction. Moreover, 76% said that employees who experience strong alignment with the corporate culture are more likely to recommend their workplace to others as a place to work.
