U.S. to deter China from invading Taiwan, as specified in Indo-Pacific Strategy.

On November 11, the U.S. government announced its first Indo-Pacific Strategy under the Biden administration. In order to counter China's growing influence in the region, the U.S. government clarified its policy of increasing its involvement in both security and economic affairs in cooperation with allies, including Japan. The strategy states that the U.S. will "deter military aggression against the U.S., its allies, and other nations, including those in the Taiwan Strait.
