The British Ministry of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport announced on April 4 that it has agreed to cooperate with Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to diversify telecommunications infrastructure equipment. The aim is to efficiently promote the development of the "5G" high-speed communication standard while eliminating the Chinese telecommunications equipment giant Huawei Technologies (Huawei). They will also cooperate in the development of next-generation "6G" technology.
