UK to exclude Russian airline companies from insurance market.

The British government announced on March 3 that it plans to exclude Russian aerospace and aviation companies from the British insurance market. The government explained that this is part of the strengthening of economic sanctions against Russia, which has invaded Ukraine, and will "directly or indirectly prohibit" the use of insurance and reinsurance services in the UK. Being shut out of the U.K., the center of the global non-life insurance market, could hinder the operations of Russian airlines.
