Russia's logistics are being paralyzed due to the tightening of sanctions, mainly by the United States and Europe. Customs authorities in the European Union (EU) countries have stopped allowing Russian-bound cargo to use their ports, effectively halting sea routes, which account for much of the country's container handling volume. Exports of rare resources and grains have been hampered, and imports of parts and products have also stalled. The Russian economy is effectively cut off from the rest of the world. The halt in the flow of goods will also affect the global economy.
