Japanese Prime Minister Kishida to Announce Tougher Sanctions Against Russia at G7 Summit

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will indicate his intention to strengthen economic sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine at the G7 leaders' summit to be held in Brussels on March 24. The Prime Minister told reporters at his official residence on March 23, "I would like to explain the further strengthening of sanctions. I would also like to express our intention to provide additional humanitarian assistance.
